Dryer vent cleaning is a fire safety issue, not a warranty item. A clogged dryer vent is the leading cause of dryer fires. Clean your vent exhaust annually regardless of warranty status. A tech who finds heavy lint buildup in a system diagnosis can use it to attribute a heating element failure to lack of maintenance - removing it as a claim ground.
